Researchers Are Gushing Over These 7 Cannabinoids in Hemp

CBD went from a virtually unknown term to a buzzy trend over the course of just five years. At its peak in 2022, there were 7 times more searches for CBD than Beyoncé (you know… the pop icon with more Grammys than any singer in history.)

Scientists have isolated and extracted more than 120 phytocannabinoids in hemp, and cannabidiol (CBD) is just one of them. Even as CBD becomes more mainstream and trends taper off, it’s interesting to note that new searches for cannabigerol (CBG) are still rising!

Take a closer look at the top seven hemp cannabinoids and emerging research we’re excited by:

Cannabidiol (CBD)

It only makes sense to start with the biggest name that you’re guaranteed to recognize. CBD is non-psychoactive, so it won’t get you high or alter your state of mind. Instead, it promotes whole-body wellness with less inflammation, pain, anxiety, and disrupted sleep. Water-bonded, full-spectrum CBD is the hero ingredient in every product at Harmonic Woman CBD

Cannabigerol (CBG)

CBG is often called the ‘mother cannabinoid’ because it plays a role in how cannabis plants mature and grow, turning CBD and THC into different chemical compounds. Early research trials suggest that CBG may offer physical comfort by relieving nausea, lowering stress, and reducing inflammation.

Did you know that Harmonic’s RISE CBD softgels also include 10mg of CBG?

Cannabinol (CBN)

CBN is non-psychoactive (just like CBD and CBG), even though it’s formed during the degradation of THC, which will get you high.

Are you struggling to get through the day with chronic aches and muscle pain? CBN might help you unwind and relax with less tension. Many CBN users also report calm drowsiness before falling into deeper, longer periods of sleep. That’s why we included it in our REST CBD capsules.

Cannabichromene (CBC)

Scientists and CBD makers are pinning hopes on CBC to create a more powerful pain reliever. We’ve learned that CBC interacts with endocannabinoid receptor sites that link up with pain, inflammation, and sensitivity. Soon, it may offer relief for chronic nerve pain and over-sensitivity.

Delta-8 tetrahydrocannabinol (Delta-8)

Finally, it’s time to talk about how hemp can get you high! Delta-8 comes from hemp, unlike delta-9 THC in marijuana, but they’re very similar chemical compounds. Most users describe a gentle, buzzy sense of euphoria that leaves you feeling receptive, relaxed, and chill.

Want to try Delta-8 for yourself? It’s federally legal and ready to ship in our CHILL Delta-8 softgels.

Cannabidivarin (CBDV)

Virtually all cannabinoids appear to have anti-inflammatory benefits, but CBDV is even more promising. According to early research, CBDV may prevent nerve cell overactivity, which could unlock new treatment options for swelling, pain, and seizures.

Tetrahydrocannabivarin (THCv)

Don’t be fooled by the acronym – THCv does not get you high, even though THC does. It may, however, help you get more out of your workouts and maintain a healthy weight. Studies suggest that it could have a positive effect on glucose (blood sugar) levels and metabolism speed.

The Harmonic FIT CBD softgel has 3mg of THCv extract, which may help suppress appetite.

In early 2017, no one knew what the letters CBD stood for. Five years from now, will THCv and delta-8 capsules shine in the mainstream, too? Let’s find out.
